Sai Creeps & Communicates (Microcephaly)

At birth, little Sai’s head was small and the doctors diagnosed him with microcephaly. While still an infant, he began to have bouts of seizures as well. Soon his parents discovered that Sai had developmental delays as part of his neurological condition.

Sai’s parents read all of Glenn Doman’s books and decided to learn more about the Doman Method so they could help their child with special needs.

They immediately started their home program with two year old Sai who, at the time, was below average in every area of function. To help Sai learn to move more, his mother gave him lots of floor time. Thus, he gradually started crawling on his belly.

In addition to a daily program of crawling on his belly and patterning, Sai’s parents executed and achieved the recommended nutrition plan. Sai also enjoyed the Doman Method Reading Program and he greatly enjoys reading.

By four years of age, he started typing with support. You can see him communicating with his mom using his home-made letter board in the video.

His greatest win is his recent ability to independently creep on his hands and knees. He can now easily navigate his environment by creeping. It is surprisingly fast for his parents’ patient anticipation and hard work!

This is an important milestone in his journey towards walking; from crawling on his belly to creeping on his hands and knees to then eventually learn to stand and walk all by himself.

Well done, Sai and family, for all the success!
